How this sound? I will meet you guys some where on the Kopapelli trail on Thursday. Looks like I could come up 128 to Dewey Bridge and intercept you some where back in that area. That would be pretty neat to see 3 1st Gen Trooper together on the trail. Or just let me know when and where you are going to start and I would be there. Dave

Here is a new "trail", from Montrose CO to Moab. It is a connection of existing roads, but many are supposed to be in bad shape :D

Dave,
Are you planning on coming over Nevada way at all? I will be around except for Memorial Day Weekend. Meeting up with my east coast girl in Boise for a day.

They are talking about signage for the route but it is so new I bet it isn't done yet, so you may have to find the route by yourself. Which is fine, too.

We will be in Moab 14-17. The Trooper is not in shape to come though. With moving and a house to get together I just haven't had time to get the shop set-up. So, we are coming in the Corolla and doing the tourist tour this year. Apache was booked-up but we got a room at the Virginian.
We will probably arrive late in the day on Saturday due to an event with the dog club in the morning.

We can always use spotters on the trail, you can ride in the front of the pack and then spot for people and then jump in another vehicle and just jump around and ride with everyone, might be fun to just jump in any open seat along the trail and mix it up.

Looks like I am going to be out there the 14th-16th. Has anyone decided on a place to meet up for each morning run (or at least the first day)?

Wow that's great, can't remember the last time I saw you in Moab, Joe!

People will start arriving on the 14th so not sure if anybody will be running trails that day. Might be somebody out there early that can go with you though.

In general I would suggest stopping by the Apache Motel late afternoon/evening to plan the trail runs for the next day. There is not much more advance planning than that these days.

Dang Joe,

I wish I was going to catch you down there. I haven't seen you since who knows when. I remember putting the sliderz on my truck then going to Vic's restaurant. Good times.

I wont' be there until the 19th...so I'll only get to wheel Friday/Saturday with people.

Kevin and I are planning to meet Joe Darlington in Grand Junction on Saturday so we can take the gateway trail into Moab if anyone wants to join us. We are not sure what time we are meeting yet I will post a time when we know or PM and we can exchange numbers if you don't already have Joe's or mine.

If anyone wants to take this route we can meet in Denver or GJ, it is easy route but a nice drive off the highway. http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=356

I ended up renting a condo....it's still in town, but it was as cheap as any hotel and has a kitchenette...not that I won't eat out most nights, but prepping for the trail will be easier.

I didn't really care for the Apache last year... it was no replacement for the stoop! :?

We're also staying in a condo, closer to the main strip. I think having a kitchen and extra space to unwind is essential with a 1 year old!

Although... I'll still slum it with you guys every evening at the Apache! :D
