Gonna make a real effort to make it this year! Should have 2 Troopers in our caravan coming from Ft Collins. I'd be interested in doing the Kokapelli if anyone else is. Post up and let me know. Dave, do you come down through Colorado, or Utah? If CO, you could caravan with us.

I usually make it a 2 day drive, I have a sister in Evanston Wy. so I spend the night at her place then head south thru Utah but I could swing back to the east at Heber City and meet up at Rifle Co. which I'm going to have go back east to do the Kopopeli any way just would need to know when. I am retired and try to never get wrapped up in schedules that interfere with my recreation so I'm pretty flexible. Dave

It's been years since I've made this event. Maybe this year I can make it for a day or 2. I'm happy to see that it's still going on and that guys like Keith and Steve are still traveling from so far away...that's awesome.

At least gas is cheap this year...it got kinda 'spensive when gas was $4 a gallon.\

But you, sir, have no excuse, close as you are. :)

See you all in Moab, I can't wait. Kevin just got a VX Ironman so he is bringing one too. We thought we bought a VX with a blown motor but it appears to be a timing belt or tensioner prblem instead.

When are you guys heading over? Still considering running Kokopelli into Moab on Sunday, but skipping Top of the World as some of us are doing it on Monday.

Hey, gotta plan ahead, there aren't many serious wheeling vehicles left in production, and I don't fit well in a JKU, Someday when the Trooper is gone the FJC will step in. but not yet.

If she sent you a reply saying she got your original email requesting a room it is likely you do have a room reserved. I got a quick reply and was not sure so I emailed her back and she said she was holding rooms for people that emailed her asking for them, but I would email her again to be sure.

Anybody can have a blast in Moab. There are trails for all levels of capability, mild to wild. A little lift helps expand your trail options, but you don't need much beyond that. My first trip to Moab was in a 99 Trooper with an inch of lift, 265/75 tires, and that's about it.

Based on your sig you have nothing to worry about. Just check with the old hands before you tackle a trail, because there are some even I won't go on.

I went last year in a mostly stock SpaceCab and had a blast. I did not do anything extreme but I am more of a backroads scenery guy. There is lots of that. I can't go this year, but I am going back a bit later.
