That would be cool...back when it was an official event it went Wednesday-Saturday, but nothing about it is official these days, just friends getting together for some wheeling and socializing. Show up at the Apache Motel in the evening for happy hour and plan trail rides for the next day. Some folks will show up on the 14th, more will show up throughout the week.

To add some value to your trip, you could head on down to Overland Expo near Flagstaff at the end of the week. It's about 6 hours from Moab. I did that in 2013.

Van and I are seriously thinking about making the trip this year. We are both retired and our trucks (and bodies) aren't getting any younger. We are thinking about towing our little popups out there and camping out, but are open to suggestions. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated since we don't want to seriously damage our trucks facing a 2000+ mile return trip.

I made my RV reservations today for the annual Moab Isuzu event! We will be staying at Canyonlands Campground WED 05/18/16- MON 05/23/16, as that's the best I could do with work vacation requests. We'll probably go see the Grand Canyon after we check out. Woohoo!!

A local 4X4 club is planning a trip to Moab that same week and are going to camp at Kens Lake so I will probably camp with them but hang out with the Zu crew. If they want to join the Zu's trail run I told them they would be welcome. Speaking of trails any one be up to a long day and doing the Devil's Race Track, west of Green River on I70 then north into the San Rafel Swell. Looks like it would be a fun ride. Dave

I will be there in my VX more modified than last year,so I feel more confident doing the trials with more lift and bigger tires and other stuff.

anyone coming in on 70? If so, taking the kokopelli trail down into Moab would be a hoot. I did an out-and-back last year on my dirtbike along kokopelli and it was a blast, especially if we were to camp one night along the way

Not a bad idea... means I'd have to bring all the camping gear, not that that's a dealbreaker. I'll think on it.

We are coming from Denver up I-70 and it does sound fun but I want to e in Moab on Saturday, with that being said how much time does doing the trail add? I looked at the trail and the FJ (Meh) post and looks doable and fun.

It's pretty mellow aside from the rose garden section. It's about 100 miles and your average speed will probably be 5-10 mph, so it can either be a full day or a full day and a morning.

The idea of doing the Kokopelli sounds fun I would just have to arrange a meet up spot and time, I may already be in the area at that time so could easily meet some where. Dave

I don't think Kokopelli is going to work out for us, in part because some of us are doing ToTW on Monday anyway, don't want to repeat it two days in a row.
