To disarm factory alarm you must find white plug and yellow/blue wire in drivers kick panel and ground it.

Is it true that grounding the yellow/blue wire will cause a drain on the battery? Looks like there would be some simple way to unplug the hood switch and "rig" the wires at the hood switch to make it think the hood is always open. That would eliminate the possibility of hood switch being/going bad. How does the hood switch work? If the plunger on the switch is up-is it connecting the wires? Disconnecting them? Seems like it should be something pretty simple going on there.

My 99 Rodeo alarm is now going off when ever it decides to. Can some one also please PM me the instructions as to how to safely disarm the alarm system, in a way that won't drain the battery. Thank you.

It's probably better to diagnose and repair the problem with your factory security system, rather than try to band-aid it by disabling it. When you lock the doors, does the system arm without issue or give you the multiple beeps?

I have a 1999 and my car alarm will not turn off no matter what I have tried so far. All lights flash and horn goes off. I've pulled the horn fuse so my neighbors will stop complaining. Lets me drive it though. Please let me know how I can disable the alarm.

What does your Rodeo do when you lock the doors with the remote keyfob? Does it beep at you and lock?

I have a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo that has a bad transmission so it has set for quite some time and now we are trying to fix it but have lost the remote to arm and disarm the alarm. Our Rodeo is unlocked and I have my keys but the battery was dead and now the alarm just goes off continually once the battery is connected to jumper cables and I have no way of turning it off. Does anyone know how to do this since I am not able to find the remote anywhere.
