I've just fitted a Sony headunit and 6.5" Sony Co-Ax speakers to the front doors. Next step will be rear speakers. They're good enough as is, enough bass and clear but I may consider amping all the speakers if I come across a cheap enough small amp.

I worked on my Amigo and finally got to turning on the stereo (stock, which I prefer for aesthetics). I was getting a really bad vibration on the right front speaker. I pulled the front right speaker out and it was torn (as I thought). I am in the process of looking at replacement speakers (aftermarket) all the way around. All four speakers are only 5.25" units so there is not going to be any need for expensive units. Not a huge audio guy...if it works, I'm fine with it. Just have to install a satellite radio unit on it because I can't stand all of the commercials on regular radio.

I have an rodeo sport and I fully replaced all the speakers with kicker brand speakers, I replaced the head unit with a kenwood that has blue tooth. But there's also two 10inch subs in the back as well with 300 watt amp on em. It sure is an improvement over the speakers the previous owners sloppily put in.

check this thread out. This is a pretty cool way to get subs without really compromising your trunk space.
