Bulb part number? *Solved/Identified*

Postby IMYooper » Thu Apr 27, 2017 2:18 am

Pulled the dash cover on my '99 Amigo and I am having trouble identifying the bulb part number for the dash-board clock. Does anyone have information pertaining to my inquiry? The clock bulb was inoperative and I yanked it out but I can't find any number on the old bulb. I have a batch of miniature bulbs but this one is odd. It is a closed glass bulb with exposed wires that get wrapped under the bulb housing to make contact with the circuit board to get illumination. It is very tiny and my older eyes cannot see any number even with a magnifier.

As a side note, I found (after pulling the dash cover) why I can't get rid of the "Dead Mouse Smell" from my Isuzu. The entire center dash air vent was packed with insulation, seeds and mouse droppings (vehicle sat idle at a farm for quite a while). I thought I got it all when I cleared out the entire air box of insulation and the glove box was packed too. I have gone through a bottle of Febreeze, several air deodorizers and a bunch of dryer sheets. Now, hopefully, it won't smell like Mickey Mouse's litter box.

I think there are two different sizes used one is 194 the other is 74, not sure which your's would use in that location.

Thanks for the reply but those are going to be too large for the clock application. I did some research and I think I found the bulb that is required. For those that also have a burnt out clock light, look for bulb #7219 (miniature bulb, T-1, wire base). Click Here from "Bulbtown".

Here is a photo of what I am talking about.

Alrighty then...got my package of 10 bulbs (#7219) in the mail yesterday. I replaced the backlight for the dash clock, 4WD switch and Rear defrost switch (all were burnt out). I removed the old bulbs and inserted the new along with the Blue rubber diffuser. All the dash switch back lights are now operative. Very pleased now I can see switches in the dark. :D
