Speaker Wiring help in Rodeo??

Postby Helpingfriendly » Sat Apr 15, 2017 10:37 am

Hello. I was wondering if I could get a little help with my speaker setup in my 04' Rodeo? I'm going to upgrade the system. I'm taking out the two front speakers and the two back door speakers and replacing them with coxal. I plan on hooking those 4 speakers up to an amplifier. Essentially what I need help with is this :
How do I go about disconnecting the rear 4 inch speakers and the front tweeters from the complete system? What color wires should I snip or not connect to the head unit? Again, don't want to use the back rear door speakers or the front tweeters.
I need to make sure the tweeters front door crossover is not in action. As well has those rear trunk speakers. I would much rather give the other 4 speakers more juice and an upgrade in quality. Thanks guys!

So you are going to retain your factory head unit and hook that up to an amplifier? How do you plan on doing that.... speaker level inputs on.the amp?
