1994 Trooper Door Lock Actuator Joint(?)

Postby user65 » Mon Mar 27, 2017 4:53 pm

Hello,

My drivers side rear door lock hasn't worked since I purchased the trooper. I noticed I can hear the actuator working so I took off the door panel hoping for a quick fix. Looks like the white joint(?) is pretty far gone, couldn't pop it back in. I tried browsing online but couldn't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where one might find this plastic piece for the door lock actuator?

This happened to my 95 Trooper on the RR door. I went to a parts yard and got the whole replacement motor from a 96. Looked completely different from what I had (sorry, did not take pics but my original motor was the same as yours and broke in the same exact place) but I just cut and spliced and installed it that way. The new motor fit exactly into the original slots and everything works as it should now.

$6 total. Any parts yards in your neck of the woods?

Thanks for the reply DenTar. Unfortunately I don't have any within an hour and a half of me. Until I can get time to drive down, I think I'll swap my RR actuator joint to the LR since I rarely use the passenger side.
