Planet Isuzoo Chapters?

Postby r_fin » Thu Apr 18, 2013 11:58 am

I searches Chapters in this section and saw it was briefly mentioned once, but I am sure it has been brought up more often. I was curious why we dont have chapters for different parts of the country. Kind of like how NAXJA has there page setup. I used to spend a lot of time on there when I had my many of Cherokees and it was nice to be able to talk with local guys and meet up to do different events or wheeling trips. Would this be too much to add to our forum? Im not familiar with website/forum building, just trucks :-D

r_fin,

So perhaps you would at least need a survey to determine the chapter idea and parameters thereof. Otherwise, if want to get a soft pole going.... Would a chapter encompass NORCAL, say from Fairfield and points north or the entire Bay area too? Nevada, Oregon, Washington? Perhaps just organize an informal "Wrench fest" somewhere. Trips to Tahoe, Grayeagle/Feather River area, Mt. Tam, etc.
Just some thoughts... More input please!

I think it is a good idea, however I think the reason for not having chapters is because there just aren't enough of us to justify it.

I think its a great idea.I am a member of a few other clubs that have state chapters.Perhaps regional chapters would be better if there is not enough members?

Ok I know this is an older thread but wanted to put my 2 cents in. I think that having chapters would be kinda fun but we all kinda get to know who is around us already and when people put their location in their info it makes it pretty easy. Also I have seen on a few boards where the main area is dead but the chapter area is full of talk and one will have a problem that was answered in another but they aren't talking so it goes unsolved for a long time. So I think having us all together creates a forum of greater knowledge than us divided. Plus its fun seeing the differences of whats going on with trucks in the UK and the next thread shows a truck in the US and the differences of options and available parts.

I think at least we there should be a listing somewhere that tells who all is nearby. Would make it easier to plan some informal trail rides and such.

I do enjoy the wider community aspect of it though. Nice to see Isuzu nuts are worldwide.
