Questions for those with pace setter header

Postby dryvr12 » Mon Apr 24, 2017 12:24 pm

For those with a pace setter header on the 4ze1, are oxygen sensor and EGR bungs already welded on?

I am considering removing the EGR pipe and capping the vacuum lines going to the valve. Will I notice and adverse effects by removing the EGR? The slight difference in AF ratio will be corrected by the O2 sensor correct?

Yes.
EGR is M22x1.5, O2 sensor is M18x1.5 in case you want to plug either.

My EGR tube broke about a year ago. I welded up the exhaust end (plugged) and screwed it back in. Unplugged the vacuum hoses to keep the intake end sealed (too lazy to install the replacement pipe I already had). FWIW, I feel my MPG DROPPED by about 1 MPG. Dennis
