An update on the old Flip Pack idea by one of their dealers. I like it!

That is pretty sweet. I would love to get a rooftop tent for the Trooper, but they are so dang expensive. I will just stick to my tent for now I guess...

I think that some of us may be over the weight limit for a rooftop tent.

In any case, I prefer to be lower to the ground.

Rooftop has no attraction to me. Way expensive, little room and climbing a ladder in the middle of the night to get rid of campfire beer doesn't seem like fun. But that's me. I know some love them. There is a good post on expo. It's a list of questions to ask yourself to help you decide if a RTT is for you.

This thing is different. This company used to sell the old Flippac's. That were similar but opened forward over the hood. They had some built in issues. These are built to address those problems. And compared to my camper they are light.

Neat idea, but to me it's just a fancy pop-up camper that mounts in/on your truck. You do have the advantage of the covered storage area of a truck with a camper shell along with the ability to tow a trailer. To each his own.

That's all they are. But the point is it is made to offroad. It'll go into the back country with you. A popup trailer won't. Popular out west.
