ARG been trying to find my pictures of my Jocassee Kayak on top of my Rodeo and I think they are all in the other laptop that crashed last year.
Nice to see so many Water Babies in this Forum too.
My Kayak has been in some of the best lakes and rives the US has to offer over the last 15 years.
If I find any I'll post them up to share.
In case you guys don't know the Jocassee, it's a 3 seater. Actually a 2 adult and room for a dog or kid in the center.
I usually strap the cooler in the middle.
One big hole with a three hole spray skirt. It's 17 feet long so it hangs over both the front and rear of the Rodeo.
Was once coming home in a rain storm after the wife and I had spent a week Kayaking the White and Buffalo Rivers in Missouri and Arkansas when the truck started acting top heavy coming out of the mountains.
I had tied the boat down right side up when we loaded it, but the spray skirt had gotten loose and fell inside the boat. When I stopped in Little Rock for gas I climbed up to check on the spray skirt and found my kayak almost 1/2 full of water. It was so much, I had to use the coffee pot to dip out enough water to be able to flip the boat over and dump the water out.
Lesson learned the hard way!
Cut it, hack it, weld it, make it better!
