question about dents

Postby 89autotrooper » Sun Dec 13, 2015 9:04 pm

I hope i can describe this right. What kind of dent is it well whats it called when a fender gets hit and kinda folds outward like a taco? The fender from the front got hit the very bottom of it folded like o assume it should have but around the middle of the fender instead of concaving inwards folded outwards. Dam I hope that makes sence.

Also I was reading about something called bumbper shocks? I guess there is one at both ends of the bumber that when hit absorb the force and cave in on themselfs to keep the bumper from hitting the fram. Thats not a word for word of what i read but its close i need to know if thats true or a load of crap i dont know anything about auto body but i have to get this fixed enough untill some money comes my way any help would be awesome thanks

A dent is a dent I guess but "taco-ed in the front" works.
As long as your tire is not rubbing. Find a signal light and run it till some cash comes along.
I would just look for a good used fender and try and pull out the rest. Or cut out the bad and weld in some donor metal.

I'm thinking the technical term for that one is a "burrito fold".

The bumper is Taco-ed, but I'm 100% with you on the fender. Definitely a "burrito fold"!
