New use for engine hoist

Postby outofrshell » Sat Apr 18, 2015 11:23 pm

I am finishing up the sheet rock in my shop, neighbor helped with one sheet but it was a struggle and he suggested using the hoist to hold it, worked great and we got that sheet screwed in place. But I had more to go by myself so I cobble up an improvised sheet rock jack which worked better than I expected. So now my engine hoist is a multi function tool. Last summer we used it to pull fence post.

Nice! I built a transmission jack with the same concept.

Great idea. Mine also gets used for stuff other than engines.
These links have write-ups and pics of most anything you ever will do on a 2.6 Isuzu. Engine, brakes, suspension, interior, you name it! Enjoy!

Thats a great mod....i think i have only used my hoist for just 2engines since i boguht it over 12 years ago.
I think ive used it for everything else besides what it was intended for.
