Tint Removal

I recently removed 9 year old tint from my Trooper and wanted to share a tip to make it super easy.

I picked up a $30 clothes steamer from Wal-Mart and some razor blades. You make a cut about 2" down from the top of the window, then put the clothes steamer on the tint where you cut it, once it gets hot, the tint along with the glue will release from the window, and you can slowly pull the tint off. Move the steam down the tint getting it hot to keep it moving.

When you get to a corner that's hard to get the steamer in, move it to the outside of the window and give it time to heat up.

I removed double layered tint from all 10 window in about an hour with no glue residue left on any window.

Not sure if this was posted anywhere, and not sure if this was the correct place to post, but thought it might save someone some time, and headache.
