Looking for a clean 1st gen 4x4 Amigo

Postby AmigoShayne » Mon Mar 28, 2016 11:20 pm

I've been shopping CL for months, and can't seem to find a clean (no rust) and stock 4x4 1st gen Amigo XS.
I'm not saying that price isn't important to me, but I'm willing to pay for it, if it's what I'm looking for. Color and location are unimportant, as are the miles, just as long as it hasn't been a hunting rig, our used to jump stumps every weekend.
Does anyone have any leads on where I could find this unicorn?
Thanks
Shayne

Panama City CL has one. Doesn't say if 4X4, but it has mud flaps at the front wheels. Might be in Alabama as the ad says "Foley". Dennis

This guy is in south carolina. I see hubs so it must be 4x4. Seems clean, but only one pic.

The SC Amigo has been hit in the front, and the doors bind when opening... :(

I've considered selling my 91 and putting money into my Frontier but the amount of work and parts ive put into it would make the value hard to justify to someone else. Do you have a price range or anything of interest to trade?

Body is all stock aside from removal of carpet and rhino lining of tub. No rust. Frame is perfect. All new parts within last few years, receipts for most. Bilstein shocks all around, 4 new rotors, rear calipers replaced, new master cylinder, new U-joints with spares, cv joints rebuilt with new moog boots, moog upper and lower ball joints both sides, new leaf spring bushings, 5-'15 snowflakes with 31 inch AT's (stock size), new radiator and heater core (all hoses replaced), timing belt and water pump replaced 10k ago, new motor and transmission mounts, all new sensors (o2, coolant temp, etc.), salvaged wiring harness and 122k engine (old engine goes with if wanted), new injectors, INDY 4x4 hd tie rods, cap rotor wires etc. etc...Basically any wearable parts have been replaced, I know I'm forgetting stuff. Everything works, great soft top, recent trips to MN and TX great on the highway. Crack in windshield and 4 minor dents that didn't break paint from trails. This has been my baby and project for the last three years building it up and now I think its too nice to beat up. Looking for a new project, I really don't need to let this go but if it was truly valued by the right person...I sent you a PM with email addy if interested. Theo

The guy says never wrecked, interior in fair condition. It does have some weird monstrosity for a grille and headlights. He's supposed to send me more pics later.

I reached out to the guy in Boulder, but it doesn't have a sunroof. So I'm back to the drawing board.
