Oh, I forgot... I also got one video of Ssiggy tackling a rock obstacle which others will testify is a fair bit more extreme than the camera seems to capture:

Good pics Shaggy.
Thanks for letting me crash on your pad.

I think we should set one day every Isuzu Uwharrie wheelin trip to "dress like Jerry".
Van's wife started something here and we can keep it going.

My pics are all here but I'll share a few good ones.
https://picasaweb.google.com/1054307128 ... ieNov2015#

If you guys haven't seen it yet, here is the Thank You, Jerry! trophy.
Image
And the night he got it and Joe's clock he made from a flywheel too.
Image
Image
Image

I just wish there were more of us there who have received Jerry's sage advice over the years to be apart of it.
Thanks to those that pitched in and for that awesome super amazing dinner too!

Here is the shot we got Saturday morning of the overall Isuzu gang.
Image

So I guess I should start from the beginning!
On Friday, here I am driving over the bridge at the Narrows and JoeD calls me and asks if I have those heavy duty tie rods.
HA! Good timing. Wayne meets me at camp and picks up the set while I unpack and then I meet them down Dickie Bell.
Got back in time to meet the gang coming back from Big Creek. Too bad I missed the ride but glad I finally got to meet up with Paul and see Ruby.
Image

It was good seeing some old faces again and some new ones.
I convinced Tom to come out on a night run on Daniel. That was fun.
Can't believe he got all the way the back side with only a bent parking brake bracket underneath!
Drove back about 11ish to sleep in the pouring rain. Kinda sucky for a Fall ride but can't help mother nature.

I think we had every year and generation covered with this meet.
A Rodeo, a Diesel trooper, a Vehicross, a P'up and an Amigo.
Image

The rain wasn't fun for camping but made Uwharrie ten times more interesting.
Rained all night and that morning but stopped for most of the day for us to get out Saturday and have fun.
Every trail that had that red silty dirt was slicker than owl snot.
Image
Image
Image
Image

The trail getting out to the road towards Art Lilly is always fun when wet. Super slippery and Joe of course just walks it but I think every other one of us just pegged it and squirrel tailed it up.
Image

I've never been up here with Fog like this. Super cool.
Image

So Tom and I went on a night run on the backside of Daniel. Man that was fun but overnight all the rain and rigs dug it out more.
We had a blast trying to get up Saturday evening before the Dinner.
Image
Image
I think some of us discovered new talents on their trucks getting it up those snot hill berms.
Image
But the view at the top was worth it.
Image

Now this is Dinner!
Image
So back at camp after the dinner I have to share Heather's special fire.
Image
thanks for the trick!

Nice photos. Shaggy, when did you have time to do anything but take pics?

We had a little adventure on the way back to MD. Marcus' Trooper lost power on I95 North of Richmond. This made it very difficult for him to pull the Borg cube. We pulled off around Statford and worked on it for several hours. We initially were looking for an electrical issue possible tied to the trailer lighting or a loose connection. After several calls to Jerry, we believed the culprit was fuel. After changing the filter, he was able to make it the remaining 100 miles home, although the truck threw a few CEL codes.

John bowed his drag link and the idler was damaged.
Shaggy took him to Winston to get parts and then he left the rest of the evening to get Tie Rod Ends.
He is so darn cranked up front.
I think the pic above is when he left to get the TREs with Lou.

Has anyone heard from him yet? Just curious if he made back home without incident or not since he headed straight for Atlanta once he got the tie rod ends on.

Hey gave me a couple email addresses and phone number. I must have keyed the number in wrong as I got someone else when I tried to call him yesterday, so I shot an email to both addresses... no reply as of yet though.

I made it, she drove flawlessly. I will be addressing those issues ASAP. I have a few ideas for the idler, center link and tie rod ends. Hey thanks Shaggy for taking me to the Junk yard and helping me in the rain! Saved my but. Also thanks to your friend Lou (superman) I think is his Planet name. He took me to five auto parts stores totaling more than two hours of driving! I left as soon as I turned the last bolt from aligning the front end. I drove for a couple of hours and slept a couple in a Mexican resturant parking lot then drove the rest of the way.....got to ATL area around 7:50am and was sitting at the Pull-a-parts when the opened the gate. I got the door switch I broke and a few parts for my Spyder. Thanks again everyone. Sorry I missed the dinner! Thanks Shaggy and Paul for asking me to tag along on the Big Creek run! Fun and scary. I'm not going to lie when I asked to be winched it was 30% percent I didn't want to bust a front spyder gear and 70% I didn't want to hit the same tree Paul just hit!! Thanks SSiggy for the two winches. Thanks Izzy for the lesson on throttle control and braking, I will be practicing. Hopefully I will see y'all next season .Shaggy I will email you my number. Thanks again Hack, Squatch, Lorenzo, Marcus ......and everyone else

None of us could make it up Dutch John without winching or getting a pull... all while dealing with a hoard of yellow jackets that came out of their nest after the winch line sliced into it.

We even got some work out of Jerry on the winch line.

That Jerry certainly gets around! Never thought he could pull a truck up Dutch John. I guess his back is fixed.
