Moving the dinner time is easy, but I wonder about that night run. If the trails are slick, the carnage could be bad. Personally, I plan to smoke a good cigar by the fire and try to stay warm and dry Sat night. :occasion5:

Late night models are showing the rain coming in Saturday early to mid morning hours. It looks like the front has sped up now. Still rain on Wednesday late morning and afternoon...Showers likely on Thursday. One last look tomorrow afternoon.

Ya'll can have fun on your night run. I will be at my site watching the LSU vs. Bama game if I can get reception. This game is so big, I am breaking my cardinal rule of no TV when camping...

The fall Veteran's ride is this coming Saturday... which is coinciding with CNC 4x4's fall ride... which also coinciding with the Carolina Broncos fall ride apparently... yeah, the state of trails will probably be getting a little interesting by evening.

The Outpost and a few other places sell the small bundles for $4-5, so an option albeit not necessarily the most economic. There are several full trees down right off the trails which theoretically should have dry, usable wood... the key word there being "theoretically" of course.

Jonathan

Go back down 109 towards Uwharrie VFD and at the intersection of the old mountain store and River road there was a guy selling cut wood on the left.
Isn't but a 6 minute drive from the Outpost. I'll be in Friday and can help get some if I have a helper and you guys still need it.
As for carnage... its also my club's Nov. ride, the Carolina Trailblazers. I told them I was gonna be with you guys but that makes, what 4 total groups in the woods and veterans ride weekend.
This is gonna be fun. I do know the rain/mud keeps the princesses away but does bring out the idiots sometimes.

Van if you have no PMs, go delete a few from your Sent and older Inbox.

I'm also betting the weather changes is a drizzle most of the weekend with one shower Friday and Saturday. I have $5 on it. Any takers?

Wow, there's gonna be some traffic!!! And that doesn't even take into consideration the quads and side by sides! I'm planning to do the Big Creek ride Friday as that's all i can squeeze into my weekend. As of now it's only a small group of us going, so if some of y'all others wan't to get away from the crowds, come join us across the street.

This afternoons models show rain as being likely tomorrow. Nothing heavy though lingering into Thursday early morning hours. Friday looks OK now. Saturday, the front is weaker again and comes through later but still puts out some strong, possibly severe weather in the area with periods of moderate to heavy rains possible.

Bright sunshine for Sunday with cooler temperatures as the day progresses.

Rain burns!

The truck and camper are just about packed. I am bringing most of my tool collection down this time (good grief) I think I may be towing another 500lbs in tools.

Just gotta pack my clothes and hitch up and we will be ready to hit the road!

I sent everyone here a PM about 'special' Saturday. Not sure if you get notified once the first person opened the PM since I cc'd everyone.
Anyhow, can't wait for the moment of unveiling at Dinner time.
Questions, shoot me a PM. I'm getting emails now from the Planet. ;)

Oh I also added to the parts Thread. Thanks Van.
Added some snowflake caps, those brake pads I listed earlier and some steel center caps.
Anyone want something, holler or I'm not taking it with me.

Lastly, my son is a little under the weather so we're gonna play it by ear.
Van and Mario, it may only be +1 for dinner, but I'll let ya know as we get closer.

As I sit here in my office drinking coffee reading up on the Planet before getting my day started, I am very envious of those headed out today for Uwharrie. Safe travels to all of you.

I'm headed after work up to the garage to get the car trailer, then swing by Smitty's to load up his mudders. I have a few lawns to cut tomorrow after work (I hate now that it gets dark early, but that is why they put headlights on tractors). I plan to be loaded up and ready to pull out when Smitty gets off work on Friday. We hope to be in camp by 11:00 Friday night.

Look forward to seeing everyone!

I was so close...

And just like that, I have to cancel. Doe to family issues (my pain in the --- ex-wife) I have to cancel our trip down this weekend. Apparently she is berating my daughter, and Kylie has begged me to come get her. Sorry guys, but my kid comes first. I hope to see you all this spring.

Happy wheeling, and drink a soda for me!

Any remote hope of attending this year's event that I may still have been harboring is no more. We received word late last night that Miss Kathy's oldest sister passed in her sleep. The news did not come as a surprise; we have known for some time that the end was near.

I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you well, and to let my Isuzu Brothers & Sisters know that you mean the world to me. I hope you have fun out there, playing in the North Carolina red clay... and be sure to POST LOTS OF PHOTOS!

Too funny. Not to mention I sold the canned ham to help pay for the wedding to my present wife.

Mario has seen me in the past few months. Yes, I am alive... I have been receiving treatments for my 4low addiction withdrawal. I hope to build another trail truck one day soon. For now, I am enjoying my new family life.

Drove my isuzu to work yesterday and today after coming back from a work trip over seas.

Subsequently there's very little I would need to do in order to take it wheeling - Hell I haven't even tested out the transfercase yet since fixing the 4wd!!

Why am I getting the itch to go wheeling this weekend??
