Van, sucks about the paint. Gravity is a bitch.
Jeff (smiley), yes what the furk?!?!
Doug (bansil) man I wish I could see the bus and you too. Haven't seen you in forever.
As for everyone else..... tic toc tic toc.... time is a tickin!
:albino:
So bad and good news:

I don't think I can do this one - maybe Sunday or Saturday-Sunday.
I'm sorry but I can tell you some of the monkey story.
Okay so I ended up towing this 83 CJ home. The owners of the monkey are in the jeep. The monkey is too.
Long story short, my fuel pump went out within 4 miles of my house and I finally figured out why it went out.

This is after cutting a hole in the rear cargo floor because I'm not dropping my lifted gas tank to pull the fuel pump out, pain in the as.s....
I put the new fuel pump in the other weekend and it still wouldn't work. Then it dawned on me. The wiring harness headed towards the trailer plug and the evap and the fuel pump has a ground on the frame in the back that got ripped off by the tow strapped I wrapped around the rear frame bar when I was towing the jeep.
Duh!

Anyhow, I got the truck started again however I need to cover that hole.
Friday I won't be here and Saturday is a maybe. Sunday early I can do but I know y'all will be packing up.
If anyone is willing to stick around, I'll be up there for sure.
I haven't put in my Revo gears yet but I'd love to get back out.

You have to hear about the Delorean too. not kidding.

1.21 GIGWATTS!!!! :headbang:

I discovered my Trooper needed some brake work after an interesting downhill experience on Dickey Bell last week (bad brakes + Dickey Bell = no bueno! LOL!) but got that knocked out and scheduled to head out tomorrow morning. It looks like the crew is pretty much all repeat trippers based on the posts thus far, but if there is anyone coming out who has never been and would like or need some help with anything feel free to stop in at site 17. :)

Safe travels everyone, looking forward to spending time with y'all!

Ditto, Shaggy!

Thank you for your acceptance of newby me into your group on the trail Saturday. I've been going to URE and been a Planet member for years, but this is the first time I've gotten to hang out and enjoy the fellowship of other owners of our "unique" vehicles. Thank you to all the Planet members I met this weekend and special thanks to Wayne for pulling my bone-stock hooptie off a dang rock I had no business going over in the first place! Jerry, it was sure good to see you and talk about old times. Real old.

Also, seeing the creativity in your rigs has inspired me to wrench on mine. Can you say, "Locker and lift and tires, oh my!"? Sure. Maybe when we meet again, I'll be in a position to assist someone else instead of getting myself stranded.

I'll post some of my pics in a bit. I'm gleaning the best ones to show.

Jan
Beater88 is our pretty capable (though NOT pretty) junkyard refugee with a hodgepodge of parts to make it go: a 2.6 with a 4ZD1 head, automatic trans, '87 10-bolt rear with an old Lock Right 3111, whatever tires we have lying around that hold air, and random salvage parts added as needed to keep it rolling. We're as happy as if we had good sense!

It was my best URE yet! We enjoyed seeing everyone and really enjoyed the amount of riding we got in. Shaggy's always ready for a trail ride, and that's why we're there. The man will NEVER refuse to do a run.   And he's the greatest trail leader EVAH! Wayne, I hope I didn't blind you too badly with those lights, I'll have more next time. :blob6: We're done with weekends only, gonna show up Thursday next year.

@ Jan - it was really nice to finally meet you in person, I'm still extremely grateful for the kind note you sent after Zoe's mishap this past spring, it meant a great deal to both of us. :)

@ Ssiggy - right back atchya, I love how enthusiastic you are and it's truly a pleasure to spend trail time with you! I will admit, though, that I'm paying the price for my trail hamster routine, I woke up this morning and could barely move I was so stiff and creaky! LOL!
