2014 ISUZUwharrie Spring 4xFun-Run ~ April 23-27th

Postby DRaider90 » Sat Nov 23, 2013 11:52 am

Figured its been over 10 years since the good old days when ISUZUwharrie was organized on the 4x4Wire Forums and now the PlanetIsuzoo Forums. So I figured it would be only proper to start off this year with a quote (slightly edited to reflect this years dates) from sir Smiley himself back in 2004:

[Cue the opening theme from '2001 - A Space Odyssey']

;
;
;
;
;
;

Ever since that very first 4x4 emerged from its inaugural test-romp through the primordial ooze, humankind has been divided into two distinctly different groups… Those that prefer pavement, and those that don’t. --- This invitation goes out to all of you who fall into the latter category…

>>>>>>> The 2014 ISUZUwharrie Spring 4xFun-Run! <<<<<<<

Where? --- The UWHARRIE NATIONAL FOREST - near TROY, NORTH CAROLINA

When? --- APRIL 23 - APRIL 27, 2014

That's right gang, the trails of U-know-wharrie are calling-out to you again!

Despite what you may have heard, this IS NOT exclusively an Isuzu/Mitsubishi thing (although that IS how it originally got started) …

Since not everyone can own an Isuzu or Mitsubishi, but almost all of the off-roaders that we’ve ever met were good-and-decent folk, we figure that we might as well invite ALL 4x4 make and model owners to come join us! --- `Cause that’s just the kinda guys and gals we are.

So, how`bout it? --- Who’s ‘IN’ this time?

I'm excited. I have already started scheming on how to convivce my ex to let me get my daughter early and come down Thursday. If not, then we will make the drive after work on Friday, getting down there around Midnight. I have a couple of people to introduce to you guys. Let's just say I upgraded my family unit. :lol:

Speaking of cabins I am thinking about reserving the Underground House again. I know there was a mixed reaction last time around, but its an idea I am kicking around. Still have more info to add to the main post(s), so keep an eye out (probably this weekend) for the campsite map, trail map, etc.

Don't think I am gonna make this trip, we are going to Disneyworld 5-12 April. Not sure I can fund a trip like that and turn around and spend another 800-1000 dollars for a URE trip:(

No one can... that place is insanely expensive! Buy souvenirs outside the park at Wal-Mart or where ever.
