All of us locals should plan some more trips, twice a year is to far in-between for me. How all would be interested?

nope I've never been. I've been trying to get a group together to go the guys I wheel with told me its pretty mild for the most part but I cant wait to see for myself
Yeah, I'm pretty new to off-roading so the park admittedly is probably more tough then it might be for people who are more advanced, although it's a beautiful place and still think you'll find some fun spots for your killer Rodeo. Really looking forward to it!!

Since URE is a National Forest you can camp anywhere you want (for the most part) off of the trails, as long as you're 200' from the trail. We have a little spot on Saw Mill we usually stay at. Just be sure to pack everything out with you and keep the fire under control 8)

The usual meeting spot is the Eldorado Outpost, its sort of the center of the action at Uwharrie, and they sell trail passes. I'll let Jon pick a time...

Yeah, and isn't the tradition that the person with the biggest tires buys coffee? ;)

The Outpost makes sense to me, easy to find, big parking area, people can pick up trail passes if needed... shoot for 9am?

Jonathan

p.s: we have a tentative from Joe, Dakota, Gram and Mario so this could end up being quite a pack!

I hope the 350 shows up so I can pawn the coffee off on him

So I must admit, due to the organic nature by which this particular trip has evolved I'm getting fuzzy on who all might be there! I'm realizing it's also probably hard to keep up with a single thread that spans multiple trips, I started a new thread for the July 20 date:

This thread can continue to be used for future planning. :)
