ok last post for the night, spoke to a mate, he has done this and reckons, he has a puller he will borrow me and I pull all those gears off in one go. Then I can change the idler's bearing at the bottom. Im doing this purely because the TC is very noisy, making grrrrr and ting ting.... lol. The rest looks like new. Some bearings are shot, has play, getting stuck as you turn them and some are rusted. Everything else looks new.

Thanks again for listening, will provide feedback if I win or not :)

You have to pull those apart in sections ... Maybe get some pics of what you have going and we'll try to figure it out :)

I managed to pull it all out, so there is nothing left in my TC :) thank you, your thread has helped me a lot so far. What I did notice is that it has been opened previously. The "ball"locating the collar on the main shaft is missing. I took extra care because I was warned about it and the collar was truning before I lifted it. Measured it and a 5mm ball will do, I will buy one today. I will also replace that needle bearing, it looks very good still but I dont want to open this TC again.

Thanks again!
