Missing lug insert

Postby trooper4kids » Thu Sep 15, 2016 7:51 pm

Hi all,

I picked up what I figured was a good deal, four OEM five spokes and tires (worn but useable) for $125 a couple of weeks ago. They were really dirty and it was getting dark, so I didn't notice that one of the rims was missing three of the steel inserts around the stud holes. I'm not even sure how something like that gets knocked out, but there they are! Is there any way to replace the steel insert, or is the wheel trash as I suspect?

You can buy them but there is likely not an application listing so you will have to remove and measure. They are called lug seat washers or inserts.

Thanks for the info! I'll go look for some... Realistically though, these wheels are not rare. I can fine another one for around $30-40 dollars pretty easily.
