I really like this Rodeo. Wish I could have found a clean low mileage DI when I was car shopping. :|

It's amazing how some simple things can totally change the look of a vehicle. I was looking at some pics of my Rodeo stock and how it is now and it looks like a whole different vehicle even though there isn't too much that changed.

I'm really digging the window visors, I may have to get a set for my 00 Rodeo. :D

I'd really like to add a hood scoop or heat extractor with a molded-in, flush finish. I have a body/paint guy that I'm sure would be willing to try but I'm not sure which scoop kit would fit best.

Wheeled a little with my brother this evening:

I need to trim just a tiny bit more off of the running board corners as they rub under compression/full lock. I was able to completley flex/stuff the tires without and clearance issues.

its replacement will have a clear piece of vinyl applied to its lens to prevent this

Also, my alternator decided to die about a block from home this evening....then I broke my CB antenna on a branch in the driveway.

Ordered ARB diff cover, Calimini bent links, track bar, and cross member, and OME 919s to replace my troop springs an spacers. I'm going to have all the suspension components powdercoated white when they arrive and the ARB cover PCed with clear coat (the nodular iron rusts quickly).
I'm still curious about a hard-wired iPod interface with the OEM deck. I think the system as-is both sounds and looks great so I'd like to avoid a gaudy aftermarket head unit.

Here are some more mod/build pics from the other thread:
Sick-Speed horns (not super loud, but definitely louder than stock)
Image
The brackets aren't entirely symmetric due to using existing holes in the hood latch support bracket. I also had to clearance the AC fan shroud and grill. There's also a large transmission cooler hiding in there on the driver's side.
Of course, I gave all the bits behind the grill a nice coating of gloss black first:
Image
Troop springs, Daystar spacers, SJs, and 1.5" wheel spacers:

I hid the bar light switch here to avoid unknowing/unwanted activation:

Cipa Auto dimming/map lights/compass/temperature rearview, awesome addition!

here was the highest observed tranny temp:
Image
this was while climbing soldier's summit on highway 6 on the way to Moab with the cruise control set at a GPS 65 (speedo is underdriven by larger tires) in 3rd gear. Truck was lightly loaded inside, had a 300lb motorcycle on a 30lb hitch-hauler on back, and, of course, the additional drag of the roof basket/spare/other accessories. I averaged 23mpg on the way there, not sure about the way back (haven't refilled yet).

If the radio was made by Fujitsu, the OEM Toyota interfaces will work (mine is for a 4runner). But I have come across newer than 2000 OEM Isuzu radios that were made by Alpine. I think the ones made by Alpine had the Alpine proprietary cable on the back that you can find ipod adapters for.

I changed my mind on the ARB cover since it weighed in at a stately 37lbs and was probably much more than I needed. I really just wanted something stronger with a drain plug. The aluminum construction should also help dissipate heat. I ended up going with a super thick cast aluminum G2 cover then having it powdercoated red:
Image
all of my suspension components are still at the PC shop, one of those fast, cheap, and quality: pick two deals. It looks like next weekend I'll spend a majority of a Saturday under the truck putting all of these goodies on. Now I have my eyes on a set of those slick hood vents from rocky road outfitters....hmmmmm.
