1999 Honda Passport - High Idle

Postby Plimbob » Mon Aug 29, 2016 11:50 am

I just bought a 1999 Passport (3.2l) for the kids to drive. I believe this is an Isuzu engine. I am having an issue with high idle checked out all of the obvious, Throttle Body, MAF, MAP,etc.

I have added a general ground from engine to body and its helped, however I have seen some threads elsewhere about a short in the Engine wiring harness. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Because your Honda Passport basically IS an Isuzu, you will be better off re-posting this in the drivetrain problems section. Some have had as simple as sticking throttle cable, vacuum leak, or idle air valve sticking. Dennis
