That sounds fun. I have followed a couple of families that have done this in VW camper buses. One family's tour is called Bodes Well (http://bodeswell.org). Another is the Idle Theory Bus (http://www.idletheorybus.com). It always seems that there is a steep learning curve when they first get on the road, but they soon learn to roll with the new normal. None of the ones that I have follow have gone on as long as this one! And none of them are in a 1928 model! That is truly unique. Kind of reminds me of the original Great Race of 1908.
Great story, and all that mileage on a 1928 vehicle with original wooden spoked wheels. Manifold cooking and the kids in a tent on the roof. Very cool!
