1988 Trooper with 4,887 miles?

Postby trooper4kids » Mon Jul 04, 2016 7:18 pm

Hi all,

I was looking at Copart.com and ran across a 1988 Trooper with a quoted as actual 4,887 miles! Looks like some dings on body, but interior kind of looks like it might support the mileage number...

Sorry my computer skills aren't great, so you'll have to look it up for yourself. It is in SC, item number is 27550986. Not what I'm looking for, but if that's true mileage sure would be cool for someone on the planet to pick it up!

1993 Trooper RS -my DD, DOHC, 5 Spd, bought after driving first kid's rig, realized how much I used to like first Troop!

1999 Trooper - 3.5L needs attention, 5 Spd, 15 YO son's future driver
1993 Trooper RS - DOHC, 5 Spd/blown clutch, significant body damage, not sure whether to modify or strip and crush

Interesting. The outside says it has more miles, but the wheels look brand new. If the miles are true, it was probably a beach truck and never left the island.

If someone gets a VIN report on this, I'd like to see it. Can't tell if it's totally rusted out underneath, but if it wasn't it would be a pretty sweet starting point.

Someone rolled the odometer back. The left zero is way off.

That is the same year, color and engine that my Trooper was. That color is not brown or bronze, it was called "Hazelnut"

Yeppers an '88 only color. I love it. My 1st trooper was a new hazelnut '88 s model. I put 300k miles on it. Very few made in that color.
These links have write-ups and pics of most anything you ever will do on a 2.6 Isuzu. Engine, brakes, suspension, interior, you name it! Enjoy!

Haha. Under the hood and the body, which include saggy front door hinges, say that Trooper has more that 4887 miles on it. Still pretty straight, but nothing special.
