Local car show

A member on the local 4wheeler FB group posted about it so went down there and entered my truck for chits and giggles. Proceeds went to the local state hospital. I thought it would be a little thang, maybe a dozen cars... nope. I never heard a final count but they had us parked along the sides of the street and down the middle too, for 3 blocks.
And the guys from Counting Cars were there. I didn't know who they were, I don't watch that reality crap.

There were some really, really sweet rides there. Really. And it's the first time I've seen GTO's outnumber Camaros and Mustangs combined. And a really nice Pontiac Can Am that I should have gotten better pics of. I tried taking good individual pics but there were too many people and too many cars. Ended up just holding my phone out as I walked and snapping pics. I got maybe 2/3 of them.

uh... the one next to the yellow Chevy... I still don't know what to think of it. Most of an early 60's Chevy cabin with an unknown pickup bed grafted onto the back and... well, you can see the front end..

That 58 caddy is all original, super great shape and super sweet. Same for that white Can Am. Very nice.

There was a bunch of them I missed. A 32 Ford roadster with a supercharged flathead that I think was my favorite. That blacked out Chevy up above was very slick. Flat black except for some gloss following the body lines on the sides. Everybody was trying to find blemishes in the body work... it was perfect.

So was the little 1941 Ford GP in the last pic. Perfect restoration... and they were very happy to tell anyone who would stand still all about it.

Didn't Johnny Cash do a song about that car? :D Dennis

I spy a 1972 VW bus non-walk through!

Very nice car show. Its always fun to go to an "all cars" show to see stuff outside of our peer group. Coker Tire hosts a car show every year and its a free cruise in. There were thousands of cars over maybe 12 square blocks. It reminds me of what you posted: cars everywhere!

My wife loved the bus. And the bikes in it. He said they ran but wouldn't get them out.

What really amazed me was that, except for that slick black Chevy, they were all local cars. The Chevy drove in from Vernon, about an hour away. Apparently there's kickass cars hiding all over town.
