My sighting posts are rare, even more rare that I post a picture. I've been doing a lot of running around for work the last week. On the first trip out, I passed by this place and saw not one, but TWO Vehicrosses. There was a purple one, and a white one. My cell camera is not the quickest, so when I knew I was headed back out that way again, I took my camera along (sorry for the poor quality, but at 35 MPH, what do you want ("hey people, can you all wait a minute while I take this Isuzu picture?")
Bummer was that the second one was gone
work and zoo stuff 002.JPG

And then when I come back out from where I was going, there was this black Vehicross hiding behind a tree right next to where I had parked the truck!
work and zoo stuff 003.JPG

I can tell you that Vehicrosses are more popular around here than Spacecabs. Dennis

I am vacationing near North Topsail Beach in NC. Today I was heading to the Northern part of the island where there is a legal place to drive on the beach. I was driving my black 86 Turbo Diesel and passed a super clean Red Trooper RS. If you are on here I just want to let you know that is a very clean Trooper!

There are two troopers on my street (which isn't even 1/4 mile long), mine and a neighbors a couple houses down, he has an 01 auto I believe, not too bad of shape either but he keeps it parked since he has 3 other cars to drive....then there is an all white troop for sale about 4 miles from me that my dad was looking at getting....I hope he does its in really good shape. I'll try and get some pics of them and post, there are a couple of amigos and an older spacecab driving around my town as well

Spotted a pretty clean white 4 door 1st gen around Carolina Beach this afternoon. Don't know if they are on here or not but it looked like a good simply built rig.

Spotted a SAS red Isuzu on HWY 64 just west of Asheboro yesterday (Sunday August 9th)
I wish I was driving my truck, we'd flagged eachother down. Daggonit.

I didn't know of any other red SASd rodeos except Mike in NoVA and Jonesy and I think one more in CO.3

I crossed paths with the "convertible Trooper" again about a week or so ago, it was on the highway so still a fairly fleeting glimpse but got a better shot:

had roofrack, aftermarket rims, a wide stance and a Virginia DMV paper tag.
I assume new owner.

Anyone here?

I saw a kindred 1st gen on the commute home on westbound I-90 on the bridge. It was a silver 4-door with round eyes, maybe early '87? The best part about encounters like this, the guy rolled down his window and gave a thumbs up! That's probably one of the best things about owning an old troop-the comeraderie.

At the Amman, Jordan airport it seems Isuzu is their truck of choice (much like nissan is in Spain)

I was the goofball holding everyone up in the jetbridge getting off the plane to get a picture of this:

Hey fourzeedee1, that was me! I saw you another time in the morning heading east on the bridge. Love the look of your trooper! Especially the antenna placement you have on the rear door. What kind of radio is that? CB? Ham?

Awesome! I was hoping that troop would be a member. I always wonder when I see an Isuzu out and about if they are on this board.

Yep, it's a CB. I got it mostly for emergency communication when I'm out exploring forestry roads. It's pretty cool when you catch a skip at high elevations, I heard some guys talking to each other from Arizona to Hawaii once!

I should really do that. I have ham but it would be helpful on long road trips to have CB to monitor truckers. I think you just inspired me! Cheers man
