FYI: I was reading up on EGR issues and found three out of four links were dead on the cleaning link. They go to some wierd sites that look like they came with someone's ISP. Just a thought.

DI Spark Plugs are different!

Postby marcus550 » Sat Feb 02, 2008 2:54 pm

The FAQ lists the wrong spark plugs if you have a 2004+ Direct Injection 3.5l.

The OEM plugs are Denso Iridium SXU16HPR9. Everything about them is different from other Isuzu plugs. Confirmed by pulling the OEM plugs out to verify, and is also listed in the owner's manual. These should be good for 100k.

The server at isuzufaq.ibctech.ca is taking too long to respond.
The requested site did not respond to a connection request and the browser has stopped waiting for a reply.

Just when you really wanted to see a possible answer.

Yeah! it finally works...
Solved the issue with friends clunk with auto tranny.
I'll bet the FAQ is correct with the fact the slip joint drive shaft is dry..

WOW... great info... Thanks for putting it together!!!!
2002 Trooper Limited built March 02. Has the screw in PCV value (the redesign engine).
My first Trooper was a 1992 LS. Bought it with 130,000 miles and loved it. Sold it with 200k miles and bought the 02 in 07.
Bought a new Rodeo LS late 1995. Blue and Silver with the running boards. Isuzu came out with the new interior mid year in 95, my wife and I both loved it. Sold the Rodeo in 2008. 12 plus years on the road and it was a great vehicle!
