How many miles on it and do you know the maintenance history?

Could be a number of things but ball joints could be the most likely problem.

Check you tube videos on how to check for front end issues.

Ball joints are easy to check. Jack car up until wheel is off ground rock tire at the 12:00 and 6:00 or put 3' pry bar under tire and have someone watch movement.

Best to watch videos. a video is worth 10,000 words.

Does it only happen when braking and turning? I found my problem with ball joints when turning, accelerating and some bumps in the road.
