I think we need a chart

I think we need a chart of what width and size tires will go with what amount of lifts for each truck. Like the 32-11.5r16 are the max size for a first gen rodeo with no lift and no rubbing. So here's a template of different trucks and different lifts so if anyone knows what will work before rubbing gets into it, put it on there.

ALL TIRE SIZES LISTED HERE WILL FIT AS SAID WITH A RIM THAT HAS A 3.75 BACK SPACING

1st gen Rodeos

i have a 4 1/2 lift on my 1st gen rodeo and 31's are like big enough i could prob get 32's but no way 34's
Bigpoppa runs 34x10.50's but he's running about 5" suspension and 3" body lift as I recall.

Can anyone answer the question will a 265/75-16 BF Mud T/A on a stock wheel fit a second generation Passport with a 3" lift with no trimming? What it I used spacers? If not on a stock wheel what size wheel/offset combo should I look for? A local guy has these tires on Craigslist practically for free.

I installed 265/75/16 BF KM2 tires on my 1992 Pickup (same as rodeo) with no lift on stock 16" snowflake wheels. They don't rub anywhere even at full flex - no trimming.

I don't know how much traffic this sub-forum gets so I also posted this as a new topic:

I know that the chart says, "yes," but can I really run 33x1050s on a Gen I Trooper with no rubbing even at full flex?

I measured and the tires will fit in the wheel wells front and back. I am not too worried about power or speed otherwise I wouldn't own a Trooper II in the first place.

What does worry me is wheel-travel and rubbing when driving offroad. I think the back should be fine, but the front looks like it might be tight. So, with the steering at full lock and the LCA on the bump stop, do 33x1050s rub?

Also, what size rim (width and backspacing) are folks using for this tire size?

Thanks in advance.

Please add the Axiom information to the chart:

235/75-17 - no lift, no trimming (31" tire); this is the largest tire that can fit without trimming;

255/75-17 - 4" lift, lots of trimming (plastic and metal) (32.5" tire); anything larger would require a body lift.

Maybe make a note on the first gen Rodeo part that a Passport will not fit the same size tires as the rodeo in the front and back due to the fender flares without trimming them.

I dont know if i have back spacing? can someone explain this so i can tell.
I have a 95 passport and put a 2" lift kit on it.
My cousin in law has some tires hes gonna sell me (cuz hes now going with 35's) and I would like to know if they will fit and if not what has to be done to make em fit.
They are 32x11.50x15
Thanks all!

Does anyone know if a 245/70 - 17 will work with, no rub, no trimming, no lift, no mod? (30.5" Tire, 9.8" tread width) on stock 2002 Axiom wheel.

Spec Chart Here:

Well, if it's any constilation (consolation), I don't have a lift on my '91 Amigo and I'm running 33x12.50R15 mud terrains on my factory Snow flakes and just had to remove the rubber/plastic bumper side covers, cut along the straight edge under the marker light and cut that stuff in front of the tire and trim back the fender towards the cab. She doesn't rub, even when I'm climbing hills and off roading, unless I flex her all the way. (I cut the bump stops so now if I bottom her out she rubs) but if you leave the bump stops normal, you won't have any rub. I drive daily with them 33's on 'er.

So we could add that to the chart if anyone is interested.

Members Rides - '91 Amigo 4x4 5-speed

And you will see what I'm talking about. The rear panels were cut ONLY because there was just sooo much rust eating away at it. So I cut the rust off. xD

Anyone ever try a 255/70/17 on an Axiom? May have a decent lead on a great used set, just not sure they'll fit.
I doubt it will work without cutting. My guess is that it might work so-so on pavement, but it will heavily rub the wheel wells when the front tires articulate on the trails, especially in turns.

So before I pull the trigger I just want to make sure I have this right. I know offset makes a difference but, I want to do a 3" Independent 4x4 rear lift, crank the t-bars and use 265-75-16 on my factory 1999 Honda Passport wheels (16x7). Please give me some input. I've got no problem pounding the inner liner but, do not want to trim the fenders. I know I can probably us 265-70-16 but the tires are'nt as readily avaialble as the 75's.

The guy I purchased my 91 Trooper from threw in an extra set of wheels/tires that he said was from "another year Trooper" (he didn't know what year exactly). They're nice Goodyear Wrangler GS-As, one looks like it's never been driven on! The tire chart lists:

1st gen Troopers (and Trooper II's)
no lift- 33x10.50x15

Confirming that this means that 30 x 9.50 R15's will be no problem with no lift? i.e: this lists the MAX size that fit without a lift? Thanks in advance!
