Poor Cabin airflow

I have an 89 Trooper with very low air flow in the cabin. It doesn't have air so I'm thinking the heater core is almost completely stopped up after 28 years of use. I've looked at it and looks like the only way to even check it would be to completely remove it, and it looks like a big job. Anyone ever remove the core to clean it and can maybe offer some pointers

All first gen trucks have brutal air flow. You can pull the fan and check for small leaves. But I have checked mine and it was fine. A replacement high speed fan is what we all need.

I changed out the heater core in our '88 a couple years ago. Clearances were very tight but it did come out the driver's side. Ours has AC so I imagine that made it more difficult than a non AC model. Are all the vent doors moving properly?

Thanks, yes, probably something we have to live with. I guess most of us have newer cars also, and there blowers move more air. I'll check the doors to see if I can tell if there operating, and probably drop out the blower and have a look around.
